Short CV:

Georgios Bardis holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece, a MSc degree in Computer Science (major: Software Systems) from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), USA and a PhD degree in Informatics from the University of Limoges, France. During his pre-doctoral studies, he worked at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) at Geneva, Switzerland, at the Departments of Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering of UCSB and at the Computing Centers of the Departments of Computer Engineering and Informatics and Civil Engineering of University of Patras.

He has worked as an IT&T Consultant participating in the management team of the consortium implementing European Union project European Public Health Information Network (EUPHIN) and as a Researcher and Engineer in the context of Research Projects co-funded by the European Union.

He has experience in a wide range of educational levels and institutions as a Computer Science / Informatics instructor, including the Master program of the Department of Informatics of TEI of Athens in co-operation with University of Limoges, the graduate program of the National School of Public Administration of Greece, the undergraduate program of the Department of Informatics of TEI of Athens, the BS program in Computer Information Systems of Deree College of the American College of Greece, the foundation programs of University of Essex and Brunel University at the British Council in Athens, etc.

He was appointed twice member of the Committee of Expert Scientists responsible for the National Accreditation Examination of Professional Expertise in the areas of Information Technology Applications and Telematics and serves as a regular member of the organizing committee of the International Conference on Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence (3IA) co-organized by TEI of Athens and University of Limoges.

e is now a Lecturer at the Department of Informatics, TEI of Athens teaching the graduate course Advanced Database Systems and Information Systems of the Master Program co-organized with University of Limoges and the undergraduate courses Design and Implementation of Information Systems and Introduction to Programming.

His research interests include, Machine Learning, Decision Analysis and Intelligent Information Systems.
